Daric Whipple will participate in the annual Shrine Bowl football game on Saturday, July 23, as a member of the South squad in the North-South contest. The game will be played inside the air conditioned UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
Whipple, a 2016 Greene County High School graduate, earned All-State honors last fall playing quarterback and defensive back for the Rams. A dual threat at quarterback, Whipple topped the 1,100 yard mark running the football and had more than 1,500 yards throwing it while playing in just eight games.
Greene County had a 4-5 record in 2015 and Whipple lead one of the more high-powered offenses the Rams have produced in the last several seasons.
Proceeds from the Shrine Bowl support the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
